Hundreds of protesters in Bologna, Italy, clashed with local police, the ANSA news agency reported.
Police used tear gas and water cannons when demonstrators tried to reach a scheduled campaign appearance by the neo-fascist leader Forza Nuova.
One police officer and six demonstrators were injured.
