A million dollars approved by the Israeli government last October to rehabilitate the Jewish community in the Houston area from damage caused by Hurricane Harvey was transferred Wednesday through the Israeli consulate in Houston.
The money will be used to renovate synagogues, schools and the community center that were badly damaged in the storm.
