An amendment to the Communications Law, authored by MK Mickey Rosenthal (Zionist Union) was approved on Wednesday evening for its second and third readings.
The amendment establishes, for the first time in primary legislation, a clear indication of the commercial content aired on commercial channels. Such content will be strictly prohibited in news, documentaries, and children’s shows. In addition, the marketing content of harmful products will be prohibited.
