The Hotam organization, which is leading the struggle against the recruitment of religious girls into the Israel Defense Forces, has called on students from high schools for religious girls to be photographed with signs reading "Do not interfere with our education - we believe in national civic service."

The organization is calling on Minister of Education Naftali Bennett not to give in to the pressures of pluralistic organizations and not to allow them to enter the state religious schools in order to persuade girls to enlist in military service instead of volunteering for national service. Referring to Bennett's predecessor, Hotam executive director Amital Bareli said, "The Ministry of Education, headed by Shai Piron, understood that it is impossible to impose on the girls in the national religious education perceptions that are inconsistent with their values."
