Police and traffic department inspectors in Jerusalem carried out an enforcement operation against buses that are used daily to transport students from the Jerusalem area and the Mateh Yehuda area, following a request from a parents' committee expressing concern about the proper functioning of the transportation vehicles.
Eleven vehicles were inspected near one of the educational institutions. Five had various mechanical defects, were removed from the road by the police inspectors, and their use was prohibited until the defects were repaired. One of them had to be towed away due to severe defects in the brake system which prevented it from continuing its journey.
