The Ministry of Environmental Protection has announced that in the last hour a leak of grease oil from the back of the ship Diana was discovered, after the ship was stuck on the shore between Kiryat Yam and Akko on Friday.
The ministry said that at this stage, about 100 liters spilled into the sea, but the source of the leak was sealed immediately when it was discovered. It added, "In view of the stormy sea situation, the oil stain cannot be treated at sea except if and when it lands on the beach, in the Kiryat Yam area."
