Chairman Naftali Bennett of the Jewish Home Party, appealed to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during a meeting of coalition party leaders to immediately normalize the Samarian Jewish outpost of Havat Gilad as a full-fledged community.
Netanyahu replied that "Havat Gilad must be connected to electricity and water." Bennett stressed that "this is not enough, the community needs to be authorized," and mentioned that Havat Gilad is located on private areas that were bought by Jews for full money. The prime minister replied, "We will discuss this later."
