MK Youssef Jabarin from the Joint Arab List was forced to vacate his parliamentary office which he rented using Knesset funding in an illegal building in Umm Al-Fahm. The building has a demolition order on it and is prohibited for use by the public.

The Regavim organization which monitors and pursues legal action in the Israeli court system against any construction lacking Israeli construction permits, petitioned the Supreme Court demanding that funding be stopped to the office in an illegal building. The court agreed that the office should be closed but did not demand that the MK return the funding he received for the illegal office.
