Jerusalemites complaining about the "catastrophic" public transportation have joined together in a Whatsapp group called "Egged Watch" in which 1200 people describe their daily tribulations with the cancellation of buses and the long waits that ensue.

A Transportation Ministry report from October 2017 claimed that 20,000 out of a scheduled 176,000 trips did not take place, 11% of all the trips. In Haifa by comparison, 2,121 trips or 2% did not take place. The law allows for a 2.5% deviation from the schedule.

Jerusalemites can send a mail with a complaint when a bus route they waited for was cancelled and can receive compensation of 50 NIS per person.
