Tens of tombstones were recently smashed in the Jewish cemetery in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, according to a report by Haaretz and the London-based Jewish Chronicle's website.
The last Jewish family left Eritrea over a decade ago and only one Jew still lives there and takes care of the deserted synagogue with its two Torah scrolls and the cemetery.
