Member of Knesset Oren Hazan (Likud) has attacked the decision to reopen the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing to Gaza this morning after the destruction of a Hamas terror tunnel over the weekend.

Hazan said, "The smoke from the explosion of the terror tunnel at Kerem Shalom has not yet dissipated, and it has already been decided to reopen the freight crossing at the site." Referring to weekend incident and the 2006 attack in which soldier Gil'ad Shalit was abducted, he continued, "The terrorists are using the crossing to dig terror tunnels and kidnap soldiers, and in response we are opening the crossing. What are we, masochists? And what about [Israelis held by Hamas] Goldin, Shaul and Mangisto? The terror crossing must remain closed."
