Thousands of people accompanied the remains of Rabbi Yehoshua Maman, the oldest rabbi of the Moroccon community, to their final resting place at the Har Hamenuhot cemetery in Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon.

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef eulogized Rabbai Maman, saying, "The departure of the righteous is as difficult as the destruction of the house of our G-d, and the deceased merited being survived by sons and grandsons who follow his path...." Rabbi Maman passed away on Friday night at the age of 100. He was hospitalized last week at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, and towards the end of the week he was released home, but on Friday night his condition deteriorated and rescue forces were forced to pronounce his death.
