Bank of Israel Governor Dr. Karnit Flug referred at the Globes business conference to the possibility that a digital coin may be issued by the state of Israel.
Flug said that "if a digital coin will be issued by the Bank of Israel, it will be very different from Bitcoins, which have no backing behind them and no guarantors."
