Indictment: Murdered his wife while she called police

An indictment was issued Thursday at the Central District Court against a Petah Tikva resident for the murder of his wife as well as aggravated assault.

The man suspected his wife of cheating on him and all her attempts to persuade him otherwise came to naught.

During a dispute which broke out between the couple, the woman tried to call police for help. The husband decided to kill her and while she was talking with the police hotline he stabbed her six times and then stabbed himself in the stomach.

One of the couple's sons tried to grab the knife from his father and was injured in his hands by his father.

The woman collapsed in the apartment building and was declared dead later.
