The Austrian government fined three Jewish students for unfurling the Israeli flag at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in which there were calls to murder Jews.
The students responded to catcalls regarding "Israel murdering children" and calls to murder Jews by waving the Israeli flag but were then attacked by people nearby. The police, instead of protecting them, apprehended them and performed a body check. Additionally they were fined 100 euro each for disturbing the peace at a demonstration.
