On Monday, a test for rabies came back positive for a jackal which was caught in Moshav Nahalal in the Jezreel Valley region.
The Ministry of Health requests that anyone who has been in contact with the infected animal or a stray in the area or who owns animals that may have made contact to urgently contact the nearest health office or hospital emergency room to consider preventive treatment.
