Opposition leader MK Yitzhak Herzog said in response to the Likud crisis over the Supermarket Law that "as I said last week in the Knesset plenum, the cracks in the coalition have become gaping holes."

"The internal crisis is growing and in the end superfluous laws which do not serve the public in any way, like the Death Penalty Law and the Supermarket Law will bring about the implosion of the coalition. It is just a matter of time."
