As part of the emergency plan, the Jerusalem Municipality is preparing to lay off 2,150 employees in all divisions of the municipality and municipal companies.
Mayor Nir Barkat slammed the Finance Minister: "Kahlon's refusal to recognize the special needs of the capital requires us to present an emergency plan that will result in the dismissal of 2,000 workers and personal injury to the quality of life and welfare of the 900,000 residents of the city."
