Social Equality Minister Gila Gamliel has welcomed Likud Central Committee approval of a proposal to include the application of Israeli law in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley in the party platform.
Calling the decision important, the Likud Member of Knesset said, "Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley are an inseparable part of the State of Israel. After 50 years of settlement, the time has come to apply Israeli law to the half a million Israeli citizens living there. This is a necessary, moral and historical step, especially when a clear and unambiguous voice from Washington makes it clear to the entire world that Jewish settlement in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley is not an obstacle to peace. The Likud is the home of the national camp, and the supporters of the right in Israel, who are the majority of the people, know this."
