Teva has decided that the Teva facility in Jerusalem will continue to work at full capacity until 2019 when it will close.
The workers hope that the long interim period will enable the purchase of the facility, which is profitable, by an outside source who will retain most of the workers.
Welfare minister Haim Katz welcomed the decision, stating that it is "economically and morally correct."
