Psoriasis patients have expressed disappointment and anger after apparently being left out of the basket of subsidized drugs and and health treatments.

Director Yona Mantka Katzir of the Israel Psoriasis Association told the Health Basket Committee it was abandoning 262,290 psoriasis patinets to deal with treatments costing 7,000 a year, including 5,700 new patients of all ages in the past year. She added, "I know that money for psoriasis patients goes from the Health Ministry to health funds, but since many of the patients cannot exercise their rights because of the need to spend an additional NIS 7,000 each year, the money remains in the HMO for its needs."
