Dan Landau, the father of Michal Salomon, whose husband Elad was murdered in the Neve Tzuf attack, together with his father Yossi and his sister Chaya, has taken issue with the state's opposition to the complete destruction of the terrorist's house and its support for the destruction of only the first floor.

Landau said, "House demolitions and other punitive measures (such as residency revocation) are measures that professionals have declared to have significant deterrent power," adding, "It is shocking to think that there are those willing to give up these means of deterrence and to take a risk of the terrible disasters that we and many houses in Israel have experienced."
