MK Elazar Stern (Yesh Atid) referred to the meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and leading Religious Zionist rabbis.

Stern said that "when the prime minister needs support due to police investigations he calls the Religious Zionist rabbis but when he needs kosher food, Shabbat, Judaism and rabbinic authority he doesn't count them."

Stern added that when there was a chance that a leading Religious Zionist rabbi would be appointed chief rabbi, the prime minister worked behind the scenes to torpedo the appointment and choose a haredi rabbi.
