Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel referred Tuesday to the storm over the Supermarket Law and the attempts to bypass it with lightning legislation.
Ariel said that "The Supermarket Law is not the solution for Shabbat. The fundamental solution would be to extend the weekend so that some Sundays will be days of rest while Shabbat will maintain its Jewish nature in the public sphere."
