MK Yisrael Eichler submitted a reservation regarding the Supermarket Law stating that it will apply from the time it was approved in first reading. The retroactive legislation would foil efforts by local authorities to pass by-laws in lightning legislation which would allow commerce in their towns on Shabbat.
