Chairman Yair Lapid of the opposition Yesh Atid party slammed the coalition this morning over the discussions to approve the recommendations bill, which would prevent police from publicizing their recommendations to prosecutors on criminal cases.
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, Lapid said, "Stop buying the spin that the recommendations law is not intended for Netanyahu. Their goal is for the law to pass before Netanyahu is summoned for questioning in the submarines affair and the public will not hear the following question: Why do you allow Germany to sell submarines to Egypt behind the back of the defense establishment?"
