A new treatment, the first in Israel and one of the first of its kind worldwide took place at the Shaarei Tzedek hospital for a patient suffering from a serious vascular disease with an irregular heartbeat.
An artificial heart pump was threaded through to the patient's heart via an artery in his arm, the first of its kind in Israel.
