Education Minister Naftali Bennett opened the events marking 70 years of the state of Israel with a play at the Gesher theater Thursday.
Bennett said that "in the 70th year of Israel's independence we stand before an important challenge: to bring the pupils of Israel to the recognition that the state of Israel is the result of many years of toil and the task of Zionism has not yet ended.
"The image of Herzl, the visionary of the state, educates us to these values. Herzl worked with all of his might to realize his vision and succeeded in igniting the hearts of the nation to go from vision to action."
