MK Itzik Shmuli (Zionist Union) responded to the UN resolution rejecting US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
"Jerusalem is Israel's capital and the deep and ancient connection between it and the Jewish nation will never be severed. Instead of denying and erasing history it's best the UN study it. Any procedure of dialogue and peace must be based on recognition of the facts and not on lies and this despicable resolution does not contribute to such a dialogue."
