The cabinet is scheduled to consider on Sunday, an amendment by Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to the procedure for preventing entry of Palestinian Authority debtors to Israel, according to Yisrael Hayom.
Reported debts owed by PA residents have swelled to more than half a billion shekels and unreported debts are believed to amount to more than NIS 2.5 billion. The current procedure has encountered difficulties in the absence of cooperation from the Palestinian Authority and the cumbersome nature of the procedure.
