Chairman Ali Shamkhani of Iran's National Security Council has made it clear that his country will continue to maintain troops on Syrian soil at the request of the government in Damascus.
Referring to opposition groups, the admiral added that Iran would continue to provide "advisory services to Syria until the destruction of all terrorist organizations."
