A jackal infected with rabies was found today in Moshav Yardena, just south of Lake Kinneret/the Sea of Galilee in the Emek Hamaayanot region.
The Ministry of Health requests that anyone who may have come into contact with the infected animal or a stray in the area or has animals that may have done so should contact the nearest health office or hospital emergency room to consider the need for preventive treatment.
