United States Ambassador to the United Nations Niki Haley said on Monday that if the Trump administration was in office a year ago, it would have vetoed Security Council Resolution 2334, which cited Jewish communities beyond the 1949 Armistice Line for the impasse between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Addressing the council, she called the resolution "an impediment to peace" for singling out what should be a final-status issue, just as the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has been attacked. She also cited the UN Human Rights Council for its blacklist of firms doing business in Judea and Samaria.
