Both ambassador's said Monday's Egyptian resolution is in line with previous resolutions. France's François Delattre told reporters the US declaration takes the peace process back 100 years. Britain's Mathew Rycroft said despite the declaration, the US "will continue to play an extremely important role in the search for peace in the Middle East."
