Mayor Nir Barkat of Jerusalem has given Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan the Defender of Jerusalem badge for his activities to strengthen the security of the city.
During a special meeting of the municipality's emergency and security committee, the mayor cited the addition of 1,200 policemen to the city of Jerusalem, the establishment of two police centers in the eastern part of the city, civilian-security cooperation for the creation of integrated enforcement campaigns and establishment of an integrated enforcement unit, among other things.
