Authorities in New York City have filed criminal charges against Brooklyn resident Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh, in connection with Monday's explosion in a tunnel between the Port Authority bus terminal and Times Square.
Police said he is charged with supporting an act of terrorism, making terrorist threats and criminal possession of a weapon, Federal and state charges are expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon, local time.
