A number of synagogues and Jewish institutions in the Los Angeles region have been closed due to a fire raging in the area.
The Leo Baeck and Steven Wise temples were closed as well as the Skirball cultural center and the American Jewish University's campus.
The Skirball fire is one of four conflagrations raging in South California since Monday. The fires also caused the closing of the eiruv in Los Angeles.
