Israel's President Reuven Rivlin and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein met Wednesday with the heads of parliament from Ghana, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, who are visiting Israel.
"Israel is the promised land, but Africa is the continent of promises, Africa is the future," the president told his guests, adding that "Israel will be happy to return to the status of African Union Monitor. We want to work with you to expand multilateral cooperation."
