A hearing on the appeal filed by the Histadrut on the decision of the Regional Labor Court regarding Negev Ceramics was held at the National Labor Court on Tuesday evening.
Under the mediation of the president of the court, Judge Ilan Itach, and led by Histadrut chairman Avi Nissenkorn, the parties reached an agreement that the dismissal of the employees of Negev Ceramics would be postponed at this stage in order to find a buyer for the plant in Yeruham.
In accordance with the agreement between the parties, an effort will be made to locate a buyer for the plant by March 1, 2018, and only so long as no such buyer is found, will the employment of the employees end at that time.
