The leader of the Joint Arab List, Ayman Odeh, responded to reports that US president Trump had told Mahmoud Abbas that he intends to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
Odeh said that "Trump is a pyromaniac who can ignite the entire region through his madness."
He added that " one thing proven in the last few days is that the US cannot preside over talks between Israel and the Palestinians. If the Israeli government wishes the world to recognize West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, all it needs to do is to recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine."
