Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Meir Turgeman conducted a press conference at the Begin Heritage Center and called on the government to transfer proper budget allocations to Jerusalem.
Turgeman said that the government transfers 700 million NIS to Jerusalem annually but this sum corresponds to the municipal reductions given tp poor people and the city therefore receives "Zero shekels from the government."
"Jerusalem should be the pearl of the country, the place we are proud of, the city which will draw tourists from all over the world, but if there won't be a significant endeavor on the part of the government ministries, we will collapse," warned Turgeman.
