Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Galant announced today a new plan of urban renewal along the route of the light rail being built in the Dan region.
Speaking at a conference in Tel Aviv, Galant said, "The route of the light rail, the red line and then all the other routes, creates the potential of 150,000 housing units that we are going to realize, from Petah Tikva, through Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak, Tel Aviv and Bat Yam." He added, "We will make it easy when it comes to parking and the places will be attractive, because access to the light rail will be convenient, and thus we will build a new urbanism."
