Political sources have reacted to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel would lead to the severance of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Israel.
They said in a statement, "Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years and the capital of Israel for 70 years, whether Erdoğan recognizes it or not."
