The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee has unanimously voted to clear for the second and third readings, a bill that says every bereaved parent can choose not to retire, and and an employer cannot dismiss said parent for at least four years after retirement age.
Currently the law only applies to parents of soldiers who lost their lives in duty. It will apply regardless of whether the child of the worker dies during the period of employment with the employer or beforehand.
