An accountant and wife from the Krayot suburbs north of Haifa have been arrested on suspicion of fraud, forgery and income tax fraud in sums estimated at tens of millions of shekels, following an undercover investigation.
During a search this morning, investigators from the police department's fraud unit and the Tax Authority seized documents and computers in the accountant's office and home.
