The firefighting and rescue system, together with the Nature and National Parks Authority, is currently working on setting up a first trail of its kind in Israel to study fire safety, marking Tuesday's seventh anniversary of the beginning of the Carmel Ridge fire disaster, according to Yisrael Hayom.

The route of the trail will be near the monument in memory of the disaster and the 44 people who lost their lives. It will combine an information center on preventing fires and what to do in case of fire in forests and other open areas.
