There will be a test of emergency sirens at 10:05 am in nearly 70 communities in the Judean Hills, west of Jerusalem. Most of the tests will center around Beit Shemesh, with other tests affecting communites along Highway 1 between Jerusalem and Mevasseret Zion, as well as in Tzur Hadassah.

A rising and falling tone will sound for 90 seconds. In case of a real emergency, another alarm will sound. In addition, a warning will be issued on the Home Front Command application and via beeper for the hearing impaired. The Israel Defense Forces Spokesman emphasizes that the exercise was planned in advance as part of the 2017 training program.
