Police arrested 17 people including senior officials in the Rishon Letzion municipality during the course on an investigation of local authority corruption.
Coalition leader David Bitan arrived at the Lahav 433 police investigation unit in Lod where he will be interrogated regarding he affair.
Bitan hinted on Channel 2 that the timing of the interrogation was designed to foil legislative initiatives he is promoting together with MK David Amsalem.
