Binyamin Regional Council head Avi Roeh said in response to the Netiv Avot demolition: "Enough of demolitions and evacuations, other solutions can be found. We understand the need of the left to submit petitions against communities but I think even they now began to understand that in many cases the courts and the state regulate construction and issue building plans so we can see that solutions can be found without demolishing."
Roeh quoted former Supreme Court judge Salim Joubran who said that land can be expropriated for Jewish communities and therefore demolitions should be stopped.
