A 10-year-old girl was injured while using an electric mixer in her Jerusalem kitchen.
United Hatzalah volunteers provided initial medical treatment to the girl. Firemen who arrived at the scene extricated her finger which was caught in the mixer.
Nati Ostri, a United Hatzalah emergency medic said that "when I arrived at the scene the girl's finger was still caught in the mixer. I asked the United Hatzalah office to rush a fire crew and they released the finger. After initial treatment and bandaging the girl went with her parents to hospital where doctors will try to save the finger."
